Day 4: The Melancholy and his thoughts

He is analytical and critical in his thinking. He engages his mind in in-depth thinking paying close attention to every detail. He thinks quite deeply and intensely on issues working his mind to generate probing questions that are able to attack a mountain size challenge turning it into a slice of delicious cake. This is evident in his speech as he tends to always ask questions.

He tends to for-see potential pitfalls and hidden obstacles that face upcoming projects. However, this makes him pessimistic about the success of such projects. He is also pessimistic in his thinking about life and always speaks negatively.

In his attempt to solve problems, he tends to go overboard and personal making other people's problems his problem and even becoming worried about it. His thinks perfection therefore he sets high standards both for himself and others.

However, he suffers depression when these standards are not met. Critically judgemental, he suffers low self-esteem and is often suspicious of others.

The mind of a melancholy is also influenced by environmental stimuli such as what he hears, sees, touches, tastes or feel leading to emotional swings. He may become worried about what someone said or how someone looked at him.

It may take a while to convince a melancholy into a relationship but once in it, he is committed and expects the same commitment from his spouse. Anything short of this will lead to suspicion, worry and even depression.

At work, he is committed to the work and all the detail attached. He is a good trainer but may find it difficult to give complements as he is difficult to please.
